Founded in 2002, Darkness Cosmetics was created by Michael Eveland and Mythica von Griffyn to serve artists working across alternative beauty and special effects makeup. Over the years, the company has evolved under several names—including I Love FX Makeup and XFX Makeup—while remaining rooted in professional-grade performance and fearless creativity. Darkness Cosmetics was the first special effects makeup company to obtain Leaping Bunny Program certification and is fully MoCRA compliant, reflecting its long-standing commitment to ethical practices, safety, and industry leadership.
